An Algebraic Model of Baryon Spectroscopy
نویسنده
چکیده
We discuss recent calculations of the mass spectrum, electromagnetic and strong couplings of baryon resonances. The calculations are done in a collective constituent model for the nucleon, in which the resonances are interpreted as rotations and vibrations of a symmetric top with a prescribed distribution of the charge and magnetization. We analyze recent data on eta-photoand eta-electroproduction, and the tensor analyzing power in deuteron scattering.

Weak Algebraic Hyperstructures as a Model for Interpretation of Chemical Reactions
The concept of weak algebraic hyperstructures or Hv-structures constitutes a generalization of the well-known algebraic hyperstructures (semihypergroup, hypergroup and so on). The overall aim of this paper is to present an introduction to some of the results, methods and ideas about chemical examples of weak algebraic hyperstructures. In this paper after an introduction of basic definitions and...
متن کاملHypercentral Constituent Quark Model and Isospin for the Baryon Static Properties
So far the static properties of hadrons have been introduced in various models. The static properties of hadrons (charge radius, magnetic moment, etc.) are useful for understanding the quark structure of hadron. In this work we have introduced the hypercentral constituent quark and isospin dependent potentials. Here constituent quarks interact with each other via a potential in which we have ta...
متن کاملBaryon Spectroscopy on the Lattice
Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) provides an excellent description of nature; however, the theory suffers from divergences that must be removed to render it finite. Lattice QCD provides an apriori non-perturbative regularization of QCD that makes it amenable to analytic and computational methods. No model assumptions other than QCD itself are needed to formulate the theory. This review surveys the ...
متن کاملAlgebraic model of baryon resonances
We discuss recent calculations of electromagnetic form factors and strong decay widths of nucleon and delta resonances. The calculations are done in a collective constituent model of the nucleon, in which the baryons are interpreted as rotations and vibrations of an oblate top.

Algebraic methods have been used extensively in hadronic physics for the description of the internal degrees of freedom (flavor-spin-color) [1]. Spectrum generating algebras and dynamic symmetries have been very instrumental in the classification of hadronic states and the construction of mass formulas, such as the Gell-Mann-Okubo mass formula [2]. Recently Iachello suggested [3] to use algebra...
